Openings
- Thanks to Tracy for the heads up that Edmonton is getting its first omakase-focused restaurant called MS-SM (they have two other locations in Toronto). It will be located at 10111 104 Avenue, the former Cacao 70 space in Ice District.
- Twice Cream has opened their second location in Sherwood Park, at #120, 75 Salisbury Way.
- The Whole Scoop has opened a pop-up (its fourth location) in St. Albert at 165 Liberton Drive in the Salvation Army parking lot.
- I had missed the March opening of Strom Coffee, located at 7255 104 Street. It is a “little piece of Sweden”, offering a “wonderful blend of Swedish tradition and Canadian hospitality.”
- Paris Baguette’s West Edmonton Mall location is now open in Phase II by the Starlight Casino.

What I Ate
- It was a losing effort, but I watched Game 3 at Rocky Mountain Ice House with my sister and her husband. It wasn’t as busy as some of the venues closer to Ice District. It’s also been ages since I’ve been to the restaurant – I enjoyed the mushroom melt burger.

- Also, because it seems like all Oilers, all the time, we couldn’t help but pick up a box of Connor McDoughnuts from Doughnut Party (they were one of the vendors of the refreshed Downtown Farmers’ Market, which returned to 104 Street on Saturday, and runs until October 12). Thankfully, after game 4, they were celebratory treats.
